Has BECE 2023 been released

The Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) 2023 has not yet been released in Ghana. The examination was held from Monday, August 7 to Friday, August 11, 2023. The West African Examinations Council (WAEC), which is responsible for administering the BECE, usually releases the results after 90 days (excluding weekends and holidays) after the last exam paper. This means that the BECE 2023 results are expected to be released in early November 2023.

In the meantime, candidates can check the status of their results online through the WAEC website. To do this, they will need their registration number and index number. The results will be available in the form of a statement of results, which will show the candidate’s grades in each subject.

The BECE is a major milestone in the educational journey of Ghanaian students. It is the final examination that they take before proceeding to senior high school. The results of the BECE are used to determine the students’ eligibility for admission to senior high schools.

The 2023 BECE was the last batch of students to write the examination under the old curriculum. In 2024, a new examination will be administered based on the new Standard-based curriculum.

The Ministry of Education has assured that all the necessary measures have been put in place to ensure the smooth release of the BECE 2023 results. Candidates are advised to be patient and wait for the official announcement from the WAEC.

Tips for candidates who are waiting for the release of their BECE results:

  • Stay calm and don’t panic.
  • Avoid checking the WAEC website too frequently.
  • Focus on your studies and prepare for senior high school.
  • Be confident in your abilities and know that you did your best.

The BECE results are an important milestone, but they are not the end of the world. There are many other opportunities available to you, regardless of your results. So don’t let the results define you. Just keep working hard and never give up on your dreams.
