What documentation do I need to provide when making a claim?

We may ask you to provide documents that help us assess and settle your claim. Documents can also be used to help us identify correct replacements for you.

Some examples of the types of documents we may need from you are:

  • Receipts
  • User manuals
  • Valuation certificates
  • Credit card or bank statements
  • Photos.

What should I do if I’m unhappy with my repairs that were completed for my claim?

For repairs that we’ve authorised, we offer a lifetime guarantee on workmanship.

If you’re unhappy with these repairs please contact us to talk about any next steps.

What is an excess?

An excess is the amount you may have to pay towards a claim.

There are different types of excesses that might apply depending on the circumstances of your claim. You can view the excesses by logging in to your account and viewing your policy, or by checking your Certificate of Insurance.

Who do I pay the excess to?

Generally we ask you to pay your excess to the repairer or supplier, or if you prefer you can:

  • Pay it to us
  • Or we can also deduct the excess from any cash settlement that we make.
