Requirements Into
Any Ghanaian University
General Admission requirements.
There are not much requirements
to be met in order to get admitted
into a Ghanaian University . The
Ghanaians have made it a simple and
straight-forward process unlike the way
we have it in the Nigerian educational
system.
Basically, all you need to get admitted
into any/all Ghannia University(ies) is
6 credit passes in your WAEC exams,
which must include Mathematics,
English Language and one Science
subject. The remaining credit passes
should come from your elective
courses.
For example, if you want to read any
Engineering course, you should have 2
credits in Physics and Chemistry, in
addition to Mathematics and English
Language. For medicine, it should be in
Biology and Chemistry. For art courses,
your elective course passes could be
from any of accounting, commerce,
geography, etc.
From the above, you can see that
getting admitted into a Ghanian
University is almost a piece of cake.
Take note of the following:
You don’t need JAMB results to
get admitted into a Ghanaian
University
You won’t be writing any form of
exams after applying – you get
admitted based on your WAEC
results.(except for those seeking
admission into Law in Zenith
University)
* You don’t need a VISA to be
allowed into Ghana to study.
Note: The general admission
requirements given above generally
applies to all Universities in Ghana, and
just meeting all of the above will get
you into any University in Ghana.
However, if you are in a situation where
you are lacking one of your core
subjects or the other (let’s say you
had an E8 in Maths or English), you can
still be considered for admission
into All Nations University; for a pre-
university program.
All Nations University has a system
whereby candidates with weak entry
qualifications may be admitted into an
8 months pre-university program, for
the purpose of strengthening their
skills base and re-taking their failed
courses for the academic programme
they wish to pursue.
The major Foundation Programmes
currently available at All Nations
University College are: Engineering
Foundations, business Foundations,
Science Foundations, and biblical
Foundations
