It depends on what rank or unit you might be joining
The armed forces say that you need to pass a medical exam to be fully accepted according to their standards. The standards generally includes general disease and whether a person is a sickle cell or not. Asthma is curable and if you are identified during medical examination, you will be cured and then you will proceed with your training. Also there are several areas in the armed forces of ghana. Not all of them are combat troops hence you can still be enlisted to serve our nation with or without asthma
