Milk Bread Recipe

Milk (room temp) 1 and 5/8 of a cup
Butter 2 tbsp
Sugar 3 tbsp
Salt 1 1/2 tsp
Strong White Flour 4 1/2 cups
Yeast 1 1/2 tsp
Pour flour into a large bowl
Rub the butter into the flour with your finger tips.
Add the rest of the dry ingredients and mix really well.
Add the milk and stir in well
When the dough is pulling away from the sides of the bowl use your hand to form into a dough
Turn dough out onto a floured surface
Knead by pushing your palms into the dough, pulling the dough together into a ball and twisting then pushing your palms into the dough again.
Do this a few times until the dough feels smooth
Place this into a greased bread tin, cover with cling film
Leave in a warm place to rise for about 1/2 hour until doubled in size
Set oven to about 350 degrees F
Remove cling film then place in oven and bake for around 50 minutes until it sounds hollow underneath
