I have an Acer Aspire One, ZG5 ~ It was purchased in December, 2008. It worked well for several months but now when I turn it on now I get this message A disk read error occurred Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart I do that, but it does the same thing over again. I've tried F2 & F12, but that doesn't do anything but show me settings, which I'm not comfortable changing. What is wrong and what do I do?
After searching and reading many doomsday comments about this error message and what it means and what caused it, I found the simple solution with the Acer Aspire One ZG-5 mini-laptop displaying the "A disk read error occured... Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart" error message, the probable simple solution is to Press Alt+F10 during reboot and the laptop will go into the Acer eRecovery mode. IMPORTANT NOTES:
