The Ghana Armed forces will start  start the screening exercise on Monday 20th October 2014. The screening exercise will take at least one week to complete. Screening will take place at all the centers throughout the country. Successful applicants will be informed by text message or phone call whether they qualify for the screening or not.

How the screening exercises are conducted.

On the day of the screening, when you arrive at the screening center, you will be made to form a long line. Each person will go and check his or her name in the GAF register. If you find your name, then you will proceed to do your screening otherwise you will have to go home and apply next  time.

GAF Screening is consist of 3 main parts.
1. Documentation - This consist of checking and cross checking your details with their register to determine if the the information they have on you is accurate.

2.Body Screening -  This part consist of measuring your height and checking your general body condition to see whether you meet the standard physical requirement of  a Soldier.

3.Aptitude Test - This consist of writing a test or exams which centers on general knowledge,  basic maths and science.
